Megan Goldie stepped out of her comfort zone of story-based spoken word into fully-fledged stand up. Her set had the audience in fits of laughter as she detailed the sexual encounter that had finally made her realise she was a lesbian, meeting a deaf woman who ‘loved the gays’, accidentally setting up two of her exes with each other, and other similarly ‘hot mess’ type tales. It’s always a pleasure seeing Goldie perform and she was definitely on fine form, hopefully this is a direction she’ll continue in.
Fleeting Motions took place at Church on Ward Road on 24th November.
